Single species analysis

Precision monitoring for priority species.

A targeted single species approach provides the most sensitive application of eDNA analysis. It is the best method for detecting rare and endangered species, as well as for the early detection of non-native species before they become established. We can help you design a robust single species eDNA survey to ensure you get the most out of your samples.

Our eDNA kits are suitable for aquatic, terrestrial, soil, and air environments, offering full flexibility and reliable sampling across habitats. The kits are designed to be easy to use in the field while ensuring high-quality, contamination-controlled samples.

Common species we work with include:

European eel

Signal crayfish

Zebra mussels

European beavers

Great-crested newts

Mustelids

Crayfish plague

White-clawed crayfish

Brown trout

Rainbow trout

We are specialists in assay design and validation. If there is no available validated assay for your species we will work with you to achieve your project aims.

Single-species analysis costs £160 + VAT including sampling kit. Additional species can be added for a further £35 + VAT. Costs can be scaled for larger projects (50+ samples). We include free field controls and laboratory controls in all of our surveys to ensure your data is robust and publication ready.
