Single species analysis

Precision monitoring for priority species.

A targeted single species approach provides the most sensitive application of eDNA analysis. It is the best method for detecting rare and endangered species, as well as for the early detection of non-native species before they become established.

We include free field controls and laboratory controls in all of our surveys to ensure your data is robust and publication ready - read more here.

Costs can be scaled for larger projects (50+ samples)

Our standard qPCR analysis turnaround time is 2 weeks from receipt of samples, and expedited service is available on request.

As standard we will map your results and carry out correlation analysis with any of the metadata you provide us (e.g. water chemistry, volume filtered, habitat characteristics etc.)

Additional modelling can be included in your results delivery upon request. This could include occupancy modelling, species distribution modelling or habitat suitability modelling.

What we deliver

Primer design service

We are specialists in primers design and validation. If there is no available validated primer for your species we will work with you to achieve your project aims. Depending on the availability of reference DNA, primers can be designed, tested and validated in as little as two weeks.
